Alexander Schwadtke, M.Sc.
Short Bio
I am a research scientist in the Virtual and Augmented Reality Group, with background in sports technologies and mixed reality. My long-standing enthusiasm for both sport and technology led me to Magdeburg, where I completed my bachelor’s and master’s degrees in Sports Technologies. During my bachelor’s studies, I developed great interest in virtual environments, which subsequently shaped my academic focus on mixed and extended reality. I am highly motivated by continuous learning and the exploration of new domains. This mindset is deeply rooted in my sporting background: I competed in athletics for 11 years and gained practical experience in a wide range of team and individual sports as well as martial arts, including basketball, ultimate frisbee, table tennis, water sports, judo, boxing, and more.
