Research interest

My main research interest focuses on supporting surgeons in laparoscopic and robot-assisted soft-tissue surgery through Augmented-Reality assistance. I investigate surgeons’ information needs throughout surgery. Based on this research, I develop concepts for Augmented-Reality navigation systems that support surgeons, right where and when they need it most.

Besides this, I am passionate about investigating and optimising human-machine interaction in medical contexts. Hence, I aim to support the other projects within the VAR group, wherever empirical research on human-machine systems is required.
