Successful PhD Defence

Danny Schott successfully defended his PhD thesis, titled “Of Individual and Collaborative Experiences: Training and Learning in Immersive Environments for Medical Education,” with the distinction summa cum laude on April 3, 2025. The thesis committee included Prof. Dr. Dieter Schmalstieg (University of Stuttgart, Germany), Prof. Dr. Daniel Roth (Technical University of Munich, Germany), and Prof. Dr. Bernhard Preim (University of Magdeburg, Germany). The thesis was supervised by Prof. Dr. Christian Hansen (University of Magdeburg, Germany).

Parts of Danny ’s research was conducted in collaboration with the Department of Internal Medicine/Cardiology and Angiology and the Institute of Anatomy of the University of Magdeburg involving Prof. Dr. Rüdiger Braun-Dullaeus, Dr. Matthias Kunz, Prof. Dr. Dr. Anne Albrecht, among others, and the University Hospital Mainz, Germany, involving Prof. Dr. Tobias Huber, among others, and was part of the STIMULATE research campus. Congratulations to Danny on completing this phase of his academic career.
