Successful PhD Defence

Florian Heinrich successfully defended his PhD thesis, titled "Projective Augmented Reality Techniques for the Navigation of Percutaneous Needle Insertion," on December 5, 2023. The thesis committee included Prof. Dr. Frank Steinicke (University of Hamburg, Germany), Prof. Dr. Marta Kersten-Oertel (Concordia University, Montréal, Canada), and Prof. Dr. Bernhard Preim (University of Magdeburg, Germany). Florian's research was conducted in collaboration with the University Hospital Mainz, Germany, involving Dr. Tobias Huber, Dr. Florentine Huettl, among others, and was part of the STIMULATE research campus. Congratulations to Florian on completing this phase of his academic career.
