Project Meeting at the Games Institute at the University of Waterloo

Within the scope of the project "Foot-Eye Interaction to Control Medical Software Under Sterile Conditions", a two-day project meeting with Prof. Dr. Lennart Nacke (Games Institute, University of Waterloo, Canada) took place. Current student exchange projects have been evaluated and a concept for the exchange of PhD students from both institutes has been developed.

Within the project, scientists of the research campus STIMULATE of the University of Magdeburg and the Games Institute of the University of Waterloo are researching new user interfaces for medical applications. Thus, the research areas of medical technology, human-machine interaction and games engineering will be more closely linked with each other.

The research is funded by an International Research Program Grant (IRPG) from the University of Waterloo and the European Union.
