MuC Research Award

Benjamin Hatscher, Maria Luz and Christian Hansen were awarded with the MuC research award for the best paper at the "Mensch und Computer" conference (MuC) in Regensburg. With more than 700 participants, the MuC is one of the largest scientific meetings on human-computer interaction in Europe.

The article "Foot Interaction Concepts to Support Radiological Interventions", which was awarded a prize by the jury, presents a new method for surgeon-computer interaction. A sensor system attached to the surgeon's shoe is used to precisely operate medical software under sterile conditions. The research work was carried out at the Faculty of Computer Science and at the research campus STIMULATE of the Otto-von-Guericke University.
