Research Interest

Minimally invasive therapies like tumor ablations have become a valuable treatment alternative in the past years. Whereas the planning of these therapies has already been covered mostly the transition from the planning software into the intervention room is still a big challenge. Together with clinicians and industry I focus on an interdisciplinary development of a proper navigation guidance and decision support. My main focus covers the development of suitable visualization approaches to process the complex 3D information from the planning and present the important pieces of information in an appropriate way.
